BLUEBELLS IN SPRING

Springtime. Warmer temperatures, lighter evenings and flowers bursting into life. It's a great time to get outside and explore and where better than in an ancient woodland with Britain's favourite wildflower - the Bluebell!

As May Day bank holiday approaches, Bluebells  in Warwickshire and the Cotswolds arrive with their deep purple petals and strong perfume, to celebrate the moment spring turns towards summer. There is nothing more enchanting as they race to bloom before the tree canopies above fill in and the ferns below unfurl.

I am thrilled to be hosting my Bluebell Wood photoshoot on the first May Bank Holiday weekend (Saturday 30 April, Sunday 1 May and Monday 2 May)  having gained exclusive access to not just one, but two beautiful private bluebell woods.

It’s a wonderful experience to take a stroll with your loved ones and discover swathes of Bluebells – a carpet of purple that provides an idyllic backdrop for picture-perfect photographs.

Bluebells flourish from the end of April to the first weeks of May in Warwickshire.  They are at their best for only a few days – as soon as they are perfect, they disappear for another year.

Everything you need to know

We will have exclusive access to two beautiful Bluebell Woods on the border of Warwickshire and the Cotswolds. The woods are in an idyllic spot a short 10-minute drive from Shipston-on-Stour.  A sanctuary not just to the native English bluebell but also to other wildlife including a large wild herd of fallow deer, foxes and an abundance of bird life. The woods sit on top of a hill surrounded by the most spectacular views of the Warwickshire countryside.

Bluebell Woods photoshoot experience in Warwickshire

After a short half mile walk from our parking spot to the woodland, we will enjoy a private photoshoot which aims to be relaxed and fun. I will follow your childrens' lead in order to keep them happy and keep the session authentic. I strive to keep my sessions stress-free, providing lots of hints and tips to help you prepare, so you can enjoy your time and make lasting memories during your shoot.

Each session is 45-minutes duration allowing time to explore the woods for group photos, individual portraits and simple outfit changes for lots of variation in your photos.

Dogs are as much a part of the family, so are welcome along too.

FAQS

• When will my gallery be ready after the photoshoot?

Your images taken on the day of your photoshoot will be individually edited - I will give time and attention to each image to make them perfect for you.

You'll receive a sneak peek of your gallery around 2 days after your session and then about 2-3 weeks after you will receive your own private online gallery to view your images where you can make your selections.

• What if it rains?

If it is a very light rain, then it is sometimes good enough to continue shooting. If there is a downpour then I will try to reschedule and move the sessions around at a mutually convenient time. This could be later in the day or on another day.

• Will I be able to upgrade my session at a later date?

Yes! After seeing your gallery, if you decide you want more images than your current package includes, you will have the option to upgrade to receive additional or all the images in your gallery with a lovely multi-aperture frame.

• Can I book for more than 6 people?

Due to the nature of the woods and the narrow pathways we stick to in order to protect the flowers, I recommend small family groups for these sessions. My bespoke family sessions are more suitable to larger groups.
