Offspring's family photoshoots are about capturing quality time together - sharing jokes, stories and maybe a few cuddles. Children feel very relaxed at home and on location - to them it's just a regular day or a family walk.
Full and Seasonal Mini family photoshoots
Offspring Photography offers Full and Seasonal Mini family photoshoots.
Full family photoshoots are completely tailored to you and are suitable for small or large family groups. They can be arranged at home or at a favourite outdoor location in Warwickshire or the North Cotswolds. The 1-2 hour photo session is relaxed and fun, allowing for time to explore the shoot location for lots of variation in your images. They are ideal for family get-togethers, home photoshoots and special occasions such as anniversaries or birthdays.
Seasonal mini photoshoots are shorter and scheduled in time slots on specific dates through the year. They are ideal if you are looking for just a few photos to update your albums or frames in your home or some natural portraits of your children to capture them as they grow. They also make great gifts for friends and family.
You can sign up to register your interest and to receive updates on dates and locations for seasonal mini photo shoots before general release.

The finer details
When is your most popular time for outdoors photoshoots?
Autumn and Spring are my favourite and busiest times of the year for outdoors photoshoots. There is so much colour to choose from as the backdrop to your photographs at this time and the photos look fabulous as wall art in your homes.
In the Summer, when everything is a lush green, I recommend having your session in the early morning or evening when the sun isn't as high and bright. Later in the day the light is softer and more golden on skin and you don't need to think about squinting!
When will I receive my photos?
Your photos will be individually edited after your session and you will receive a link to your online gallery of images 2-3 weeks after your photoshoot.
How many photos will I receive?
The contract and session information I send for a Full Family Session states a minimum of 40 images, but the more I like the more I give.
Please see the individual package details for Seasonal Family photoshoots.
What if it rains?
It's a fact of life that rain and wind can cause havoc with outdoor photography shoots.
If it is a light rain, then a tree canopy is sometimes good enough to continue shooting. Wellies and raincoats can be just as good in photographs too. If there is a downpour then I will aim to reschedule and move the sessions around at a mutually convenient time.
What should we wear?
This is the most popular question I get asked and rightly so as clothing choices can make a huge difference to your photos. Colour combinations change based on the location, time of year and background. When you book your session I will send out details with a guide on clothing and colour selection to help you.
What time of day should I schedule my photoshoot for?
Most photographers will tell you that the 'golden hour' is the best time for photographs which is the last hour before sunset. They are right in terms of quality of light and you will get that wonderful golden glow to your portraits, but I know this isn't always the ideal time for young children. I always tell my clients to consider their child's routine and book a time when they are generally at their best - avoiding nap times and feed times.
Do you photograph large groups and extended families?
Yes! I love it when all the family gets together - grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles, the more the merrier. A standard family session is suitable for a family of 6, but if you would like a few more faces in your photographs let me know and I can give you a price.
I'm worried my children won't co-operate. They never sit still for a photo.
Every child is different which is why I love my job. Some are a little shy and others are a ball of energy from the start. I always begin a session with all the family as parents are like a comfort blanket. Once they're warmed up, I then ask them to play a game and we focus on having fun. Outside their adventurous side often kicks in and I capture the the candid moments as we play.
